Hunstanton based company R P Air Testing Ltd, providers of compliance testing services for the construction industry, are celebrating again following their successes last year that saw them achieve certification to ISO9001, ISO14000, the government health and safety scheme CHAS together with supplier pre-qualification registration with Constructionline. To add to this they have now achieved UKAS Accreditation to ISO/IEC 17025: 2005 for building leakage testing, which is the laboratory specific standard.
Founder and Managing Director of R P Air Testing Ltd Mrs Ros Piggott said: "All the team are extremely proud of this latest achievement, which we have all worked very hard for. Being UKAS accredited demonstrates our ability to provide a superb source of impartial advice with services that are fit for purpose, giving our Clients the continued confidence that standards are being met. Although the accreditation relates to just one of our services at present, we plan to extend this to include sound insulation testing within the next few months."
In addition to the accreditation and while R P Air Testing Ltd were waiting for formal grant of the endorsement, they secured a long-term partnership deal with Miller Knight Ltd. The company based in Nuneaton provides specialist fire protection, acoustic and air sealing services for the construction industry. Ros said: "We are delighted to announce a partnership with such a reputable company providing a range of services that compliment ours. We will be performing tests on their behalf, which means Clients requiring a combination of fire protection, sealing and compliance testing will be able to do so through just one supplier. Our companies have similar philosophies with a strong commitment to training, development and certifications, providing a strong platform for future growth potential of both R P Air Testing Ltd and Miller Knight Ltd."
