Gas Training at Kier is leading the way in providing valuable gas training, having awarded its 500th gas reassessment qualification at its specialist training centre in North Tyneside.

The centre, which launched in June 2011, is located in Killingworth on the site of the former British Gas training centre. It offers BPEC accredited training and reassessments, enabling engineers to stay up to date with current gas legislative requirements.

Kier Regional Director, Mike Furze, said: "I am proud that Kier is fast becoming a leading provider of gas training and has developed such an excellent reputation in this area. The centre is a valuable resource to local businesses, colleges and trades people. We are not only creating jobs and supporting the careers of individual candidates, but making a difference to the quality of gas engineering service across the country."
