Senior site manager John Mather, who works for Altrincham housing developer Lovell, has been named a regional winner in the NHBC (National House-Building Council) Health and Safety Awards.

John's outstanding levels of health and safety management secured the Best Site Award (Large Builder category) in the North for The Way, Lovell's landmark development of 550 homes for sale, affordable rent and shared ownership in Beswick, East Manchester.


This is the second time that John has won the Best Site Award and the fourth consecutive year that he has been named in the NHBC Health and Safety Awards. The NHBC is the leading warranty and insurance provider and standards setter for the UK house-building industry.

Lovell regional director Nigel Yates said: "The NHBC Health and Safety Awards involve an extremely rigorous judging process with multiple inspection visits. John's achievement is exceptional and I’d like to congratulate him and his team on the consistent hard work and technical excellence which has led to this award."
