Mansell has started work on a £2.7m scheme to provide 30 new homes in Wisbech in Cambridgeshire for the Roddons Housing Association, part of Circle Housing Group.

The Acacia Avenue development will consist of 2, 3 and 4 bedroom affordable homes and will be starting as Mansell has almost completed work to provide 47 homes at the Treeway housing development in nearby Chatteris.

The scheme forms part of a £32.4m investment in housing in Fenland by the Roddons Housing Association.

To mark the start of works the Mansell project team joined representatives from Roddons for a ground breaking ceremony.

Dean Burgess, Balfour Beatty Delivery Unit Managing Director, said: "We are delighted to have secured this prestigious opportunity and to be continuing our strong relationship with the Roddons Housing Association. We’re looking forward to delivering these new high quality homes for Roddons and the local community of Wisbech."

The works are programmed for completion in March 2014.
