Essential work on the A38 Marsh Mills Flyover near Plymouth will start on 8th September and will continue for eight weeks.

Project Sponsor, Mike Hillier, said: "We have planned the repairs of the joints very carefully and specialist teams are ready to work seven days.

"The first joint was repaired at the end of last year and during this final stage we will be repairing the remaining three joints.

"A 40mph speed limit with be in place throughout the works."

The first phase of the work included installing 'crossover points' at either end of the flyover to allow traffic to travel in contraflow over the viaduct.

Westbound traffic wishing to access the Forder Valley will be advised to exit the A38 at Marsh Mills and travel, via Marsh Mills roundabout and the access road parallel to the A38, to Forder Valley Junction.

While the first joint is repaired, traffic will travel in contraflow along the eastbound carriageway. The contraflow will move to the westbound carriageway on Saturday 28 September while the remaining two joints are worked on.
