Tenant-led housing association Liverpool Mutual Homes (LMH) has appointed housing refurbishment specialist Lovell for a £1.4 million programme of improvement work at two Liverpool sheltered housing complexes.
Lovell will start work in September on refurbishment schemes for Alderwood Lodge in Speke and Meadow Court in Woolton.
The 29-week programme will include the construction of new entrance areas and refurbishment of corridor and communal areas at the two sheltered housing schemes. Residents will continue living in their homes during the work with the experienced Lovell team liaising closely with them to minimise disruption.
Lovell regional director Nigel Yates says: "Having worked extensively with LMH throughout the housing association’s initial four-year improvement programme framework, we are delighted to have been selected for this new contract. Residents will see real benefits to their living environment and we will continue our commitment to investing in local communities by using local subcontractors to work with us."
