A £22m specialist Science, Technology, Engineering, Enterprise, English and Mathematics (STE³M) school has been completed in Worrall, Sheffield.

The two and half year Bradfield School contract included a three-storey 8,606m² main school building and a biomass energy centre, which was constructed on a steep and sloping site. A sports hall with four tennis courts, a fitness studio and main hall were built, along with landscaping.

VINCI Construction UK worked alongside the school's eco-group to ensure the facility blended into the surrounding rural environment but also to preserve the natural wildlife.


"I'm delighted that the new Bradfield School is completed," said Councillor Jackie Drayton, Cabinet Member for Children, Young People and Families at Sheffield City Council. "It's wonderful to see what a great job has been done to blend this eco-friendly specialist STE³M school into its beautiful rural environment. Thanks to the contractor, VINCI Construction UK, for working alongside the school's eco-group."
