Seddon Construction is commencing construction on a new £5.1m fully fitted care home in Banks, near Southport, Lancashire, for owner Cinnamon Care Capital.

The home, once completed, will be operated by leading care home provider Barchester Healthcare.

Seddon has started work on the 70-bed building, and once open, the care home will create in excess of 60 permanent jobs locally. The two-storey, 3,643 sq m development, designed by Condy Lofthouse Architects, is due for completion in August 2014.
