Knightstone Housing And Lovell To Develop New Housing Schemes

Knightstone Housing and Lovell are working in partnership to develop two new housing schemes in Bristol.

The developments will provide 39 new affordable homes for rent, and are to be built on sites of former elderly people's homes.

The plans include 19 houses and six flats at Goffenton Drive in Oldbury, Bristol. This £2.3m scheme will offer a mix of homes for rent and shared ownership. They will be built on land previously occupied by the elderly persons' home, Gleeson House. The new development is set for completion in May 2014.

There will also be a further 10 houses and four flats at Birchwood Road, Brislington, Bristol, all for affordable rent, on the site of the former Birchwood elderly persons’ home. The £1.4m development is due to be completed in March 2014.

Funding for the two schemes has come from the Homes and Communities Agency, Bristol City Council and private finance raised by Knightstone.
