Wolverhampton City Council has awarded its first affordable homes project in the city since the 1980s to Kier Partnership Homes.

Procured through the Homes and Communities Agency's Developer Partner Panel framework, the development, off Thompson Avenue, forms part of the wider plans to regenerate Wolverhampton and will deliver circa 100 new homes.

Kier will build a mix of open market properties and affordable homes on the seven-acre site, varying in size from bungalows through to four-bedroom houses. All the properties are being delivered to Code 4 for Sustainable Homes, which improves the energy efficiency performance, and have been designed to Lifetime Homes standards.
