Carillion is supporting a 'Meet the Buyer' event in Manchester to discuss business opportunities for local suppliers through the delivery of Energy Company Obligation (ECO) improvements.
ECO is funded by the energy suppliers to help households install measures such as insulation and low carbon heating systems to help lower fuel bills.
The Energy Company Obligation (ECO) Scheme Manchester - Meet the Buyer - Greater Manchester Housing Retrofit is being held by The Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce on July 3 and is a chance for the supply chain to engage with key delivery partners Carillion, Dyson and Forrest.
With a heavily focused local delivery model, Carillion is keen to work as closely as possible with SMEs from the Greater Manchester area.
Nigel Taylor, Chief Operating Officer for Carillion Services, said: "ECO funding is targeted to help vulnerable households in or at risk of fuel poverty by bringing real cost savings so it is vital that we work effectively and collaboratively with all partners to ensure as many homes in Manchester benefit as possible.
"We are therefore delighted to support this event and to meet the people and businesses at the sharp end who will be making this happen."
