Ronacrete has proved its commitment to the environment by being awarded ISO 14001 Accreditation Certificate Number E8342.
Managing Director, Daniel Osen stated: "Ronacrete has been making efforts to reduce its carbon footprint in line with the Ronacrete Environmental Policy. A significant amount of time has been spent evaluating Ronacrete’s impact on the environment and looking at ways to make the company more environmentally friendly. We now for example, have different methods of waste handling, more efficient company cars, use less paper, purchase more materials from local sources and seek out sustainable raw materials and packaging.
"The ISO 14001 certification means these efforts have been evaluated and approved by an independent body (NQA) and will provide reassurance to those specifying Ronacrete's products as it is physical proof that Ronacrete conforms to set environmental standards."
ISO 14001 is the international standard for environmental management systems (EMS) and is recognised worldwide. ISO 14001:2004 was introduced in 1996 as a British Standard and requires that businesses have an environmental policy and action plan in place to manage their environmental impact. Once certified companies are then committed to continuous improvement and are assessed annually to ensure progress has been made.
Ronacrete also has ISO 9001 accreditation from NQA the International Standard for Quality Management Systems (QMS) Certificate Number 1763.
