The Shard Wins ENR's Global Project Of The Year Award

The Shard has won ENR's Global Project of the Year award.

Hosted in New York, ENR Global Best Projects Awards is dedicated to honoring the best global construction projects and the companies that designed and built them.

Turner & Townsend project managed the 310m vertical city, which has transformed London’s skyline. The tower, developed by Sellar Property Group, contains a 5* internationally recognized Shangri-La Hotel, London's highest viewing gallery offering 360 degree views of the city, high end office space, exclusive residential apartments and restaurants within its 72 floors. Designed the Renzo Piano Building Workshop, it is the tallest building in Western Europe.

Construction of the project began in March 2009, was completed in April 2012 and was officially opened on 5 July 2012.
