Willmott Dixon Partnerships is inviting SMEs and sole traders specialising in plumbing, electrical work, carpentry and multi-skilled operations in Thurrock and across Essex to join them at a special 'drop-in' day.
The company also wants to meet 16-25 year olds to talk about apprenticeships.
The firm wants to meet as many building trades professionals and aspiring apprentices as possible on Thursday 13 June at the Park Inn by Radisson, High Road, Thurrock.
Willmott Dixon Partnerships Managing Director, Mick Williamson, said: "We operate large-scale repairs and maintenance contracts throughout the UK and aim to bring lasting local benefits wherever we work. We are holding the drop-in day so that we can develop an effective supply chain in the Thurrock area. This can bring all round benefits – enabling us to use skilled local people while providing new business and possibly new jobs with the individuals and organisations we work with.
"As part of our policy of leaving a lasting legacy in areas where we work we also aim to provide apprenticeships which will help young local people learn trades that will benefit them and their communities for life. Anyone interested can drop in from 7am to 7pm for a friendly chat and to register their details. We want to meet as many trades and people interested in building apprenticeships as possible."
