Work has started on a new £2.2m training and enterprise centre for young people in Denbighshire, the BBC has said.
The centre also includes accommodation for young homeless people.
£421k was earmarked by the Big Lottery Fund for the project to help young people not in education or work. It is thought plans for the centre will also provide six flats for the homeless as well as facilities for the wider Denbighshire community.
Cymdeithas Tai Clwyd has started work on the site of a former garage which has lain unused for five years.
Speaking about the project, Colin Hughes, Denbighshire town and county councillor, said: "The centre will provide a fantastic resource for the people of Denbigh, and will be a huge investment to the town," said Colin Hughes, Denbighshire town and county councillor.
"It's vital that a centre like this provides young people with the support and tools needed to secure long term employment opportunities."
