Six Rochdale families are settling in to their new homes, after Rochdale Boroughwide Housing (RBH) completed six four bedroomed homes on Waithlands Road in Newbold.
The development at Newbold marks the first new homes to be delivered by RBH as a mutual organisation. Local firm Casey won the contract to develop the site, with construction starting in May 2012.
RBH is set to deliver 100 new homes across the Borough between now and 2015, thanks to funding from the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA). The next project due for completion is 14 new family homes and bungalows at Longridge Drive in Heywood.
Gemma Glossop, RBH Development Project Manager, said: "The completion of these fantastic new homes has transformed this former disused site and provided much needed family accommodation for the neighbourhood. These new homes have been designed and built to the highest quality meeting best practice in design and environmental standards."
