Halton Housing Trust is celebrating after installing fencing to its 1000th property as part of a £1.35 million boundary investment programme.
Since early 2012, the Trust, along with contractor Forrest, has installed over 10,000 metres of metal and timber fencing to 1000 properties in Runcorn and Widnes, as part of a £1.35million fencing investment programme.
Customer Wyn Winders, 73, has lived at her home on Boston Avenue in Runcorn for 27 years. Thrilled with her new fence, she said: "I'm very happy with the work, the fence is much better than the old one. The staff from Halton Housing Trust and Forrest have been great – they are always around if I need to speak to them."
Work is currently three months ahead of schedule, meaning that many more properties throughout the borough can benefit earlier than expected. 470 properties will receive new fencing over the next twelve months, as work moves into the neighbourhoods of Boston and Fairfield.
