UCATT Appoint Regional Secretary For The North West Region

Construction union UCATT have appointed a new Regional Secretary for the North West Region.

Andrew Fisher took up the post as UCATT North West Regional Secretary on 1 May. Mr Fisher was previously a Regional Organiser in the North West Region a position he has held since 1999. Prior to working for UCATT Mr Fisher was a joiner.

Mr Fisher said: "I am delighted to be taking on the role of North West Regional Secretary. I am determined to ensure that construction workers in the North West receive the best possible service from the union. Construction employers must realise that workers have rights and UCATT will make sure that they are fully defended."

Mr Fisher is replacing Jimmy Woods the Acting Regional Secretary who is retiring at the end of the month and who the union would like to thank for his many years of service to UCATT.
