Carl Sargeant, the Minister for Housing and Regeneration, saw for himself today the good work being done in housing and regeneration across North Wales.
The Minister visited six projects, all of which have benefited from Welsh Government funding, and stressed the importance of such projects if housing linked regeneration is to play an effective part in tackling poverty in Wales.
The Minister said: "Projects like the ones I have visited are evidence that housing and regeneration are the foundations on which our efforts to tackle poverty in Wales should be built.
"The Welsh Government's regeneration and housing programmes are helping to breathe new life into some of North Wales' most disadvantaged areas. It’s fantastic to be here today to see the improvements for myself and to meet those who are driving forward the regeneration projects.”
"It is very pleasing to see regeneration and housing working together to give the local area a real boost. These developments are not only improving the standards of housing in the area, but also improving people's lives."
