Support services provider Carillion chose the recent industry-leading Ecobuild exhibition at the ExCel in London to showcase its capabilities in energy services.
Ecobuild is the world's largest event for sustainable design, construction and the built environment.
In a key presentation Business Development Director for Carillion Services John Swinney gave a talk on Birmingham Energy Savers, a pioneering programme to improve household energy efficiency.
He said: "Birmingham Energy Savers is one of those touch-points and the first contract for the delivery of Green Deal.
"Birmingham City Council has effectively lent us their brand and their reputation and we have to look after that and we have to go out and sell these packages to the citizens of Birmingham."
One of the most visited exhibition stands at Ecobuild was the Ecopod, which is an award-winning low carbon heating solution system developed by building and maintenance solutions business Belfry Group and delivered in partnership with Carillion.
Mark Hampson, Carillion Account Director, said: "Ecopod can deliver huge savings on energy bills for households and alleviates the need for organizations like social housing providers to carry out costly water treatment services and gas safety checks."
