MITIE has been awarded a four year contract valued at £7 million per annum with A2Dominion Group.

The contract will involve refurbishing 500 of A2Dominion’s properties across the South of England each year, beginning 1 April 2013.

MITIE will deliver specialist work such as asbestos removal and installation of energy efficiency measures. This includes external and internal wall insulation and energy monitoring devices.

Work inside A2Dominion's homes will involve the replacement of kitchens and bathrooms, as well as electrical rewire and remedial works.

Upgrades to the external leaf of properties include replacing windows, doors and repairing roofs.

Peter Griffin, director for social housing at MITIE, said: "We have an extremely good relationship with A2Dominion and are excited to be working with them again to support in the upgrading of their housing stock."
