Kier Partnerships Homes has been awarded a further two schemes through the Birmingham Municipal Housing Trust (BMHT) framework, worth £13.7m. The two projects, on Grange Farm Drive and Owens Croft in Kings Norton, will deliver a total of 104 new homes for rent and for sale.
The scheme on Owens Croft will include 23 affordable homes with a further 26 homes for open market sale. At Grange Farm Drive Kier will provide 29 affordable homes and 26 open market sale properties; both developments will feature a mix of flats and two, three and four-bedroom houses.
The properties on both sites will achieve Code for Sustainable Homes Levels 3 and 4 and will be fitted with A+ rated appliances, water butts and cycle storage, while modern external design sees a mix of brickwork and render.
The new homes will be a welcome addition to the Kings Norton area, and will be delivered in association with BMHT, with funding secured through the Homes and Community Agency.
Kier Partnership Homes' Managing Director, Chris King, said: "We consistently deliver on our commitment to provide high quality affordable homes for our framework partners and we are delighted to be working on another project with BMHT. We are able to ensure a smooth one-team approach to all our projects, which is key to any client. Working with BMHT, we will guarantee the local community a well-designed residential area as a lasting legacy of the framework."
