RICS Honorary Secretary Rob Mahoney and Senior Vice President Louise Brooke-Smith have hosted a senior delegation of surveyors from the Ghana Institution of Surveyors (GhIS) at RICS in London.

The delegation, led by GhIS President Daniel Kyere FGhIS, comprised representatives of each of the institution's three faculties: Valuation and Estates, Land Surveying and Quantity Surveying.

RICS was integral in the establishment of the GhIS more than 50 years ago. Today, GhIS has more than 1,200 members operating in Ghana and is recognised as one of the pre-eminent professional organisations in Africa.

RICS and GhIS work closely as members of international federations such as FIG, to advance professional standards and across the chartered surveying profession.

GhIS President Daniel Kyere, speaking during his visit said: "GhIS and RICS share a long history based on developing professional standards in Ghana. Our members are recognised as the pre-eminent surveyors in our country.

"Therefore, it is essential that we continue to develop our relationship with the RICS which is recognised as the pre-eminent global body for our profession."
