Paradigm Housing Group has signed a four-year contract with a Yorkshire-based kitchen manufacturer that will help achieve annual savings of approximately £200,000.
Following a mini-competition tender process using the London Housing Consortium, Rixonway Kitchens will supply around 500 new kitchens a year to the housing association, helping deliver savings of around £400 for each installation.
Residents will also see added benefits following the signing of the contract, with increased choice, service delivery, quality and durability.
Following a consultation with a panel of residents, the new options system will give them the opportunity to select a choice of five alternatives in a number of areas including drawer fronts, worktops and handles
Rixonway Kitchens has over 30 years of experience in supplying kitchens, delivering an extensive range of tailored carcases and ensuring each individual requirement is fulfilled.
Stuart Bishop, Head of Asset Management at Paradigm, said: "The savings we make as a result of our new relationship with Rixonway will be pumped straight back in to the organisation, giving many more of our 12,000 tenants the opportunity to experience the benefits of this contract first-hand.
"As well as the cost reduction, we are really pleased with the adaptability this contract will deliver. Residents will be offered a bespoke design service from a member of the Rixonway team who will design their kitchen in their home based on their own choices."
