To mark the first loan under the Custom Build programme, Fairgrove Homes is holding an exhibition in Morton, Derbyshire, this Saturday, 16 February, to explain the way people can own a home through Custom Build– the first of its kind in the country, thanks to financial support from the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA).
Custom Build is a new Government backed scheme, managed by the HCA, where the Government announced that it would be making up to £30m of funding available to provide short-term project finance to help unlock group custom build – or self-build - schemes.
There are nine Custom Build homes for sale at this new site, with prices starting from £78,000. The fully serviced plots come complete with planning for four and five bedroom homes from a choice of Fairgrove’s own designs, available with alternative internal layouts and the option of full custom-build or self-finish from a watertight stage.
Steve Midgley, Managing Director at Fairgrove Homes, said: "We are delighted to be one of the first in the country to be able to offer prime plots of land for sale under the new Custom Build scheme. It's the perfect solution for those who want a say in the design of their home, and want to save money at the same time."
The aim of the Custom Build fund is to stimulate the growth of the Custom Build Homes market by backing more projects and investing in prime locations to meet the demand for new housing, since not everyone wants or can afford to buy a traditional new build home.
