LHT Shortlisted At Women In Construction Awards 2013

Liverpool Housing Trust (LHT) has been successfully shortlisted for the 'Award for Staff Development' at the Women in Construction Awards 2013.

LHT is in line for an award which recognises those who provide opportunities and skills to redress the gender balance in an otherwise male dominated industry.

Simon Brown, LHT Director of Asset Management said: "We are extremely proud to be shortlisted for the 'Award for Staff Development'. It is a fantastic recognition of LHT’s approach to support the development of our female employees working within the construction industry."

The Women in Construction Awards, now in its seventh year, provides a showcase for the brightest and the best female achievers in the UK construction industries.

Women still only make up 10-13% of the industry's workforce in the UK but there are many individuals working hard to make their mark in the sector.

The results are due to be announced later this month at The Point, Lancashire County Cricket Club.
