Work has started on of 31 new rural homes in South Killingholme, as part of a development project by North Lincolnshire Homes (NLH), in partnership with the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA) and Kier Living.
The £2.5m project, with investment of £723,000 from the HCA will see 22 two-bed and nine three- bed homes completed by December 2013, providing much needed affordable homes in North Lincolnshire.
This scheme is part of a wider £6m Affordable Homes Programme in North Lincolnshire which includes new developments in Crowle, Winterton and Epworth. In total, 100 new homes are being built by NLH by the end of March 2015.
Sarah Coutts, Area manager at the Homes and Communities Agency said: "This is great news since it is rare for so many houses to be built in rural communities where affordable homes are often in short supply. North Lincolnshire Home are making a huge difference to local communities by providing homes where people want to live and that they can also afford."
