Kier Construction jointly hosted a BIM seminar at Clarkslegal's Reading office in January.

Kier Construction process & engineering managing director, Graeme Forbes, spoke at the event, alongside Professor Jennifer Whyte of the University of Reading, Jessica Taylor from Clarkslegal LLP and Graham Clarkson of construction consultancy The Clarkson Alliance.

Topics deliberated included design and innovation, the legal implications of BIM procurement, the BIM revolution and BIM as a performance and process-led tool. It was also discussed how Kier's BimXtra platform overcomes many of the issues with BIM technology.

The event was well attended by clients, consultants, SMEs and universities from across the Thames Valley region.
