Construction companies from Bath and the surrounding area are being offered the opportunity to meet prospective client, Royal United Hospital Bath NHS Trust (RUH), on Tuesday 18 December.
RUH is looking to build a local supply chain for all general works up to a value of £50,000. Works will include general building, painting and decorating, roofing and flooring.
The event, being held at the RUH, between 10am and 12pm, will give small and medium sized construction companies the opportunity to meet with procurement heads at the trust to discuss working with them.
Cheryl Wrench, customer relationship manager from Constructionline, said: "It is often difficult for local contractors to get involved with large organisations, such as RUH. It is great to see the Trust sourcing local construction workers to help them with smaller works. These events are at the heart of what we do – we want to help suppliers find and secure work and we want to make it easier for businesses to find reliable and local construction companies."
Head of capital projects, Steve Boxall at RUH, said: “We are keen to work with local suppliers and contractors from Bath. The main purpose of this event is to demonstrate that it is not difficult to do business with the Trust and to show that our priority lies in supporting local contractors, particularly for small and often urgent jobs.”
