Hillingdon Council's planning committee approved two major planning applications which will have a significant positive impact on Hayes in West London and its residents.
The Old Vinyl Factory in Blyth Road will provide 600 housing units and hopes are that it will play host to to up to 4,000 jobs over the coming years.
The complex in the centre of Hayes will also provide a multi-screen cinema, bars, restaurants and community facilities.
Permission was also granted for two new office developments (185,000sq ft) on the Hyde Park business park.
This agreement sees the next phase in the creation of the business park and hopefully serves to secure the future of the park's current tenants Rackspace.
The two developments demonstrate that the future for Hayes is positive and that it is delivering employment, housing and a range of facilities that local people have wanted for years.
