Morris & Spottiswood Open New £2m Office

Morris & Spottiswood has officially opened a new £2m Warrington office.

George Morris the chairman of £84m turnover Scottish owned property firm Morris & Spottiswood formally opened the firm's new £2m purpose built office in Warrington this week.

Speaking at the opening Mr Morris declared the new premises named Garrett House, in Birchwood, will become the 'nerve centre' for its fit-out, housing and maintenance operation in England and Wales.

"This is a huge moment for our business," he said. "This investment is a statement of intent and aims to catapult us further into the nationwide market for our services. Our ambition is to ramp up our sales in the North West, England and Wales to 50pc of turnover from its current position of 25pc. We think Warrington and the North West is a terrific location. There are great skills and transport infrastructure here and there is an extensive property industry supply chain. These are the building blocks of our future success combined with our extensive contacts and our well established track record."

Mr Morris said the new building sets "absolutely the right tone" reflecting the progressive ambitious outlook of the business and its staff.

Mr Morris pointed to work undertaken for Liverpool One, Manchester and Salford Universities, the Co-Op, RBS and the Cunard Building in Liverpool as evidence of its footprint in the North West and England.

"We know clients are out there looking for a firm that can deliver a broader range of services," he said. "Our approach is now to offer the complete package of construction, fit-out, refurbishment, and maintenance services. This is what industry wants. One point of contact and one firm which has the skills and resources to deliver the entire project. This reduces cost, saves time and increases efficiency."
