Darwen-based interior design business APM Design is in the running for one of the country’s most prestigious professional awards.
They have been shortlisted, in the top four, for the 'Best Interior Design Practice' title in this year's Northern Design Awards.
APM – the design team behind the £7.8 million Tower View luxury apartments in Union Street, Darwen – has carved an envied reputation over the last 25 years in leisure, commercial and retail sectors.
High profile clients, from hotels and supermarkets to car manufacturers and health centres, have included British Gas, Virgin, Harley Davidson, Kellogg's and ASDA as well as local businesses and individual clients throughout the UK
APM have delivered a range of design contracts from luxury executive suites for Manchester City Football Club to oil rig catering facilities in the Gulf of Mexico.
Now a respected panel of design experts – including Sir Terence Conran – has included APM in this year celebration of the North's finest interior designers, architects and craftsmen.
"To be grouped among them is an achievement in itself," say directors Andy and Tracy McCluskey. "To have work admired is one thing but to have it judged by our peers and even shortlisted for this calibre of award is a milestone for the business."
