Mansell And UNITE Announce £24.2m Contract

Mansell and UNITE cement long-term relationship with £24 million student accommodation development in Camden.

The UNITE Group and Mansell have reinforced their long-standing relationship with a new contract valued at £24.2 million.

Mansell has been appointed as main contractor for the design and build scheme which will create a 10-storey development at St Pancras Way, Camden, London providing 563 high quality bedspaces including professionally managed cluster apartments and spacious studios. The development will also provide a trading facility for Travis Perkins on the ground floor.

The external envelope will be a mixture of brickwork, curtain walling and metal cladding together with decorative feature mesh screens. Green roof areas are being provided along with amenity space podium decking for students to use.

The development will achieve a BREEAM 'Very Good' rating.

Work is due to commence on site in December 2012 and the property will open in 2014 in time for the academic year.
