Interserve has won a three-year, £3.5 million, mechanical and engineering maintenance contract for Oxford University Estates Services across its 74,400 square metre portfolio of medical research buildings.
This new contract will see Interserve deliver mechanical and engineering services across five sites including their Old Road Campus and buildings located on the Churchill Hospital, Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre, Warneford Hospital and John Radcliffe Hospital, all in Headington, Oxford.
The 24-7 contract will provide planned and reactive maintenance and repair, operating and configuring building control systems and energy management, with Interserve working in partnership with internal service departments to provide enhanced cost efficiency, through thorough and efficient maintenance regimes, energy management and safety compliance.
Mark Foxton, Mechanical Engineer from Oxford University Estates Services, commented: "Through working with Interserve we will benefit from expansive industry knowledge and expertise in technical services. Their support and experience in delivering services within similar research environments, allows our departments to focus on their core business – medical research – and ensures our facilities are continually well maintained."
