Lovell has been selected by housing association Grŵp Gwalia for a four-year repairs contract in Swansea and South West Wales.
Worth £8 million in total turnover, the new contract starts in December and will see Lovell provide responsive repairs services at 2,500 homes and refurbish void properties as well as undertaking other work.
Lovell was chosen by Swansea-based Grŵp Gwalia following a competitive tendering process. The four-year deal includes the possibility of two further contract extensions – for a total of two years – after the original contract term expires.
Stuart Davies, executive director at Gwalia, said: "We've worked really hard with our tenants to ensure that they were able to help shape the new service; as a result tenants’ requirements were built into the new agreements, for example, within two hours of a repair being reported, the tenant will be contacted with an appointment for the work to be carried out.
"We're delighted to be welcoming Lovell on board to carry out our repairs service in west Wales and look forward to implementing a new way of working that will ensure we’re offering a first-class service to our tenants."
Simon Medler, managing director of the Lovell repairs and maintenance business, says: "We look forward to working with Grŵp Gwalia to deliver a customer-focused, quality service for residents. As national repairs and maintenance experts, we possess comprehensive technical and customer service expertise alongside a belief in making a real difference for people through our legacy programme which creates enduring community benefits."
