A Cambridge residential development has been awarded an international property accolade just weeks after its first show home was unveiled to the public.
Homes by Skanska's Seven Acres development, at Clay Farm, south of Trumpington claimed the prize for 'Best Development Multiple Units UK' in the UK section of the International Property Awards, held at The Marriott, Grosvenor Square, London on 18 October.
The International Property Awards celebrate the highest levels of achievement by companies operating in all sectors of the property and real estate industry. Having claimed the award in the UK category, Homes by Skanska will now be entered into the overall International Awards, which ultimately determine the world’s finest property companies.
The news comes as the housebuilder confirmed that an impressive 27 of the 128 properties available at its first UK development have already sold off-plan.
Designed around Scandinavian principles, Seven Acres features notable Scandinavian designs throughout each home with high ceilings, large windows and well-planned, built in storage; combining practicality with elegance.
In addition, Homes by Skanska's pioneering development exhibits a clear focus on sustainable living, with each property at the development built with a fabric-first approach, and equipped with the insulation and energy-efficient technologies required to meet level 4 of the Code for Sustainable Homes.
On receiving the award, Magnus Andersson, President of Homes by Skanska commented: "This award is testament to those who worked so hard to launch Skanska's first residential offering in the UK.
"The ethos behind our Seven Acres development is to offer a unique blend of Scandinavian modernity with English tradition and we are proud to receive industry recognition for bringing this innovative concept to the UK market.
"We are truly humbled to have picked up such a prestigious award so soon after launching our first UK development and hope this is a sign of things to come as our residential offering gathers pace."
