First Wessex is trialling a new Handyperson Service which offers subsidised home repairs exclusively for First Wessex residents in Aldershot Park, Aldershot.
Residents can access the service from as little as £4.80 per hour. First Wessex carries out a majority of property repairs without cost, but the handyperson service will cater for the additional jobs and minor repairs that residents would normally carry out themselves. This includes changing broken light fittings, putting up shelves, or small scale decorating tasks.
The new service, which is fundedby the Local Management Board at First Wessex, enables residents to access up to four hours of support at a discounted rate. Any additional time will be charged at the usual rate by In Touch, the company completing the works. The service will operate between September 2012 and March 2013.
Peter Walters, Chief Executive at First Wessex said: "We are delighted to offer this convenient service to residents in Aldershot Park. We’d like to encourage residents to make the most of the service, and if it’s popular we will consider rolling it out in other areas."
