Painting and maintenance specialist Seddon Property Services has been chosen by Orbit Housing Association’s East and South regions for a ten-year painting and repairs contract worth approximately £20 million in total turnover.

Through the new contract, which starts this month (September), the Seddon Property Services team will carry out redecoration work and pre-painting repairs for around 16,500 homes managed by Orbit in Kent, East Sussex, Surrey, South London, Norfolk and Suffolk.

The work, which was awarded to Seddon through a competitive tendering process, will enable the firm to create 20 new jobs. The contract includes the option of a five-year extension when the original ten-year contract term comes to an end.

Deji Fajobi, head of planned works for Orbit, said: "Our contract with Seddon Property Services is the culmination of a competitive and OJEU compliant process which generated significant interest. Seddon’s winning tender offers the opportunity to deliver high quality works at great value for our residents and the wider community.
