Power To The Midlands: Project Wins For Power On Connections

Construction News Image
With over 50 new contracts awarded in the last six months in the Midlands alone, Leicestershire-based Power On Connections Ltd has kick-started the next phase of the company's growth.

Established in 2003, Power On Connections is the UK’s leading Independent Connections Provider (ICP) for new HV and LV electricity connections. Operating from headquarters in Potters Marston, Leicestershire and with offices in Leeds and London, the business works closely with some of the country's most prestigious construction companies including Galliford Try, Carillion, St Modwen and McCarthy & Stone.

The new contracts span the whole region including Birmingham, Leicester, Coventry and Nottingham and represent over 85% repeat business, proving that customer loyalty is one of the business’ key strengths. "We're really pleased our business development strategy is beginning to pay off," said commercial manager, Manj Thind. "Currently we have 120 members of staff, who all take pride in both meeting and exceeding customer expectations, so with our continued forecasted growth we will be actively seeking new team members."

An award-winning ICP, Power On Connections offers turnkey solutions for the design, build and delivery of HV & LV electrical connections to Commercial, Industrial, Retail and City Living Developments.

"It's been an exciting first half of the year for Power On Connections," Manj continued. "These projects represent some of the most complex we’ve ever undertaken and we’re extremely proud to be involved in such landmark schemes for the region. In addition, we are leading on achieving ‘self-connection’ accreditations across the UK to demonstrate our determination to be at the forefront of our industry and address the imbalance in the electricity distribution connections market. We are currently working to achieve self-connection accreditation in the Midlands to bring further benefits to customers.

"We are confident that the successful completion of these projects, coupled with our commitment to provide a competitive and flexible service, will help generate a healthy pipeline of work for the remainder of 2012."
