As part of major highways improvements needed to support the county council funded 37 hectare Teal Park development near Lincoln, a new roundabout will be completed over the summer at the junction of Whisby Road and the A46.
Guy Blumer, Principal Engineer, said: "Teal Park will be one of the largest business parks in the East Midlands and a new roundabout at the junction of Whisby Road with the A46 is needed to help ensure traffic flows smoothly and safely between the A46, the new development and beyond.
"Temporarily closing the Whisby Road east junction means our contractor can complete the work more quickly, allowing the new roundabout to be opened ahead of schedule. It shouldn’t impact on journey times too much, as there are alternative routes available for motorists close by. The work is being carried out over the summer to take advantage of the holiday period when traffic is lighter. We'd like to thank motorists for bearing with us while these improvements are taking place, which are due to be finished early next year."
