Record Miller Mileage

Edge protection experts’ easi-edge Limited have supplied their superior perimeter edge protection to two landmark projects for main contractor Miller Construction.

City of Leicester College and Crown Hills Community College are the sixth and seventh schools to be built as part of the Leicester Building Schools for the Future programme to improve the City’s secondary schools. Miller Construction has been appointed as main contractor for the design and build of both schools. With a combined value of over £120 million these projects are expected to open their doors to pupils in late 2012 and early 2013.

Supplying in excess of three miles of edge protection to the two projects, the easi-edge system will help protect workers from falls from height whilst construction work takes place. Working closely with the project teams easi-edge have been able to provide a tailor made service and delivery programme of the edge protection to ensure the workforce are protected from the very start of the steel installation.

David Ford, Business Development Manager for easi-edge said: "Working on these two high profile College projects is a high accolade for easi-edge. As a market leading edge protection provider we were involved with the project teams from the very start to provide a collaborative approach to the individual edge protection requirements. All indications suggest that the installation of the edge protection has been a huge success."
