Affordable housing contractor Wates Living Space has commenced their first planned maintenance project through the innovative I-FLAIR Framework.
Wates started on site delivering 34 central heating replacements and associated works for Cloch Housing Association in Greenock this month.
The I-FLAIR Group of which Cloch is part of comprises of eight local housing associations that have joined forces to create a framework agreement for much of its planned maintenance. The procurement agreement is getting best value for tenants in difficult economic times while seeing huge investment in improvements and repairs to tenants' homes throughout Renfrewshire, East Renfrewshire and Inverclyde.
Cloch Housing Association residents will continue to live in their homes during the works with the Wates resident liaison team playing a key role in ensuring that the work goes smoothly.
Gillian Lavety, Bid Centre Manager for Wates Living Space said: "We have extensive expertise in this kind of work and are extremely pleased to be working with Cloch Housing Association on our first project through this innovative framework. Wates replaced over 1000 central heating systems in Renfrewshire alone last year which gives us unrivalled experience to bring to this project."
