Lovell is looking for construction subcontractors and suppliers to work with the company in Lincolnshire.
Following recent contract awards in South Kesteven and Hull, and as part of its continuing expansion in the East of England, Lovell is targeting a number of projects locally, including major housing maintenance and construction schemes. They include tendering for a large-scale contract to carry out housing maintenance work for the City of Lincoln Council over the next five to ten years. The programme will include kitchen and bathroom replacements, roofing work, window and door replacement, the installation of loft and cavity wall insulations, disabled adaptations, rewiring and electrical work, environmental improvements and pre-paint repairs and decorating.
As part of its commitment to recruiting locally, Lovell held a two-day recruitment drive for local supply chain partners. The Meet the Buyer event in Lincoln took place at the recently refurbished Lincoln Grandstand Community Centre and was attended by nearly 100 local people representing a wide range of trades and suppliers.
Lovell regional director Noel Adams said: "We're committed to creating opportunities for local individuals, contractors and suppliers in the communities where we work and were therefore delighted to see so many local business people at the Meet the Buyer event. Those attending had the chance to find out more about Lovell, our areas of expertise, and how we work with our supply chain partners."
