Elstree-based housing specialist Lovell has secured a clutch of leading safety awards for its work on housing developments and regeneration schemes across the London region.
The company has won British Safety Council International Safety Awards with merit – which recognise the firm’s commitment to ensuring the highest standards of workplace safety – for 13 housing projects in the region. Lovell has its regional office at The Waterfront, Elstree Road, Elstree.
"Safety is our foremost priority and these awards both underline that commitment and the hard work by our site teams and subcontractors to ensure the wellbeing of our workforce and of those who live or work near our developments," said Lovell regional business systems manager Alex Wood.
Congratulating the award winners, Alex Botha, chief executive of the British Safety Council, said: "What the winners have demonstrated is that well-managed health and safety ensures the safety and wellbeing of their employees and contributes to business effectiveness and success."
The London region of Lovell was also honoured at the RoSPA (Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents) Occupational Health and Safety Awards 2012 with the region commended in the Housebuilding and Property Development Sector award.
