Regeneration And Renewal Award Categories Announced

Categories have been announced for the 2012 Regeneration and Renewal awards, backed by the Homes and Communities Agency.

They tackle 14 areas of regeneration from housing design to boosting economic growth.

A spokesman said the awards aimed to "recognise and reward" the UK's best regeneration projects.

The deadline for entries is July 5.

Companies and organisations may enter under the following headings:

Partnership working

Design excellence

Best use of housing in regeneration

Best use of heritage in regeneration

Best use of arts and culture in regeneration

Tackling worklessness

Community-led regeneration

Mixed-use development

Boosting high street vitality

Boosting economic growth

Sustainability
