KAT Aluminium is excited to announce the launch of 'Smart Wall' Entrance Doors and Commercial Shopfronts. Smart Wall is a shopfront screen and door system incorporating a thermal break to provide enhanced thermal performance. Suitable for all types of commercial groundfloor screenwork.
Unlike non-thermal alternatives, Smart Wall is available in dual colour. Screen work is either beaded or pocket glazed with anti-finger trap door sections and drainable low thresholds. Smart Wall also complies with the latest requirements of Document L for thermal transmittance.
KAT Smart-Wall has been designed with security in mind, and the commercial entrance door has successfully passed both LPS 1175 level 2 and ENV 1627 level 3.
Precision Property Services approached KAT recently to provide a solution to replace the main entrance door at Manchester Rugby Club. Precision MD John Matthews insisted security was paramount, but also specified a host of other standards, including thermal efficiency and safety. KAT were delighted to be able to provide the solution for John and the project is now complete. KAT have had a great response to the new product, installing commercial entrances in a range of applications, including retail units.
