Sweett Group, the international property and infrastructure consultancy has announced that it has won its first significant framework contract in the water utilities sector.

Together with Aqua Consultants, the Group's partner in the water sector, the Group has secured an appointment as one of three providers on United Utilities' three year framework. The work will be delivered predominantly through the Group's offices in Leeds and Manchester, with support from the Group's network of offices across the UK.

United Utilities provides water and wastewater services to nearly 7 million people in the Northwest of England, supplying 3 million households and over 200,000 business premises.

Kenneth Wood, Senior Director with responsibility for the Group's UK infrastructure work, said: "I am very proud of our team's hard work in securing this fantastic commission. This is the first step in our strategy of gaining market share in an attractive, engineering led sector."
