The last glass panel is installed the Kier Construction infrastructure and overseas team at King's Cross station are celebrating the completion of the glazing to the Grade I listed main train shed roof.
Production was increased to full capacity over the past six weeks with the glass and PV panels being installed 24/7 until Kier supervisors Kieran Roe and Gary Sadler installed the final piece of glass.
The team are now focused on removing the suspended access decks which have provided a working platform for the duration of the works, and the construction of the gutters and walkways ahead of completion in August.
