Costain, the main contractor for the Harbour Way project in Port Talbot, has been rewarded for its approach to preventing accidents and ill health at the National Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) Occupational Health and Safety Awards for the third year running.
Costain was presented with the Company's third Gold Award for Occupational Health and Safety for the scheme and was commended for its continued high standard of Health and Safety performance.
Stuart Curtis, Safety Adviser for Harbour Way, said: "The Harbour Way team deserves this recognition for the positive safety culture employed on site. All members of the team - Client, Designers, Costain as Principal Contractor and Subcontractors have all played their part in ensuring Port Talbot Harbour Way is a safe site."
