Liverpool City Council is set to give the green light to plans which will help deliver more than 200 new homes in North Liverpool.
The council's Cabinet will be asked to approve proposals, to bring the council-owned, cleared land of the former Granton Road Primary School, Anfield, into use for housing development.
The council is also set to give the go-ahead to developer Keepmoat plc to begin housing development on land bounded by Adam Street, Herschell Street, Adkins Street, Hartnup Street, St Glashier Street and St Domingo Vale, also in L4.
All 320 properties in the four-hectare site will be demolished by July, and the decision will allow Keepmoat plc to begin work this summer on 167 new two, three and four bedroom bungalows and houses.
The cabinet is also being asked to approve plans to sell land at Vauxhall Road/Burlington Street L3, to BTW Trading Limited, and to grant them a licence to enter the land for the delivery of 38 new two and three bedroom houses.
Between them, the schemes, which are part of the council's Housing Capital Programme for 2011-13, will see a total of 205 new homes delivered in North Liverpool.
Liverpool City Council's Cabinet Member for Housing and Community Safety, Councillor Ann O’Byrne, said: "These plans are another significant step forward for housing in North Liverpool and demonstrate our commitment to the area. We have promised to accelerate the build programme for local people, and I’m delighted we are delivering on those promises.
"Driving forward housing renewal in every part of the city is a major priority for us, and we will continue to work with developers to secure investment, bring land back into use and provide high quality, well-designed, affordable homes, which meet the needs of local residents."
